The Burai Zero Custom (無頼（ゼロ機）, Burai Zero-ki) is the personal Burai used by the leader of the Black Knights, Zero.
Design and Development
Despite the identification, the Zero custom Burai is functionally identical to a standard model Burai. The mains differentiators between it and normal ones are its coloration garnet and black and its head having been replaced with a unique head module who looks like a samourai helmet.
Operational History
Zero first used one of these machines during the battle of Narita. During his first fight against the Princess Cornelia li Britannia, he is about to eliminate her but is interrupted by the apparition of the Lancelot pilotes by Suzaku Kururugi; his intervention obligate Zero and his subordonates to retreat but during the getaway, Suzaku chases Zero who finishes stuck after a shoot from the Lancelot obligated him to eject. While Suzaku could have killed Zero on the moment, CC appears and uses her hallucinogenic power to terrorize Suzaku. After this battle, the Burai being intact will be used a second time during the battle at the Port of Yokosuka; like in Narita, Zero is about to beat Cornelia until the Lancelot appears and makes fail the tentative and a shoot from the VARIS Rifle from the Lancelot obligates Zero to eject but .espite the damages, the knightmare stays intact Lero reuses his custom Burai during the Tohdoh's evasion operation where he fight the Lancelot once again and discoverd the identity of it's pilot. Later, he uses the knightmare to attract Suzaku in a trap on the Shikine Island. During the rest of the first season, the Burai Zero Custom will be put aside, Zero prefering using the Gawain more efficient. In the second season, the unity is used by C.C. during the battle of Babel Tower when she tries to enter in contact with Lelouch twice. After this one recoverd the memory, C.C. uses the Burai to place the explosive charges in the superior floors of the Tower. The last appearence of the unity will be when Zero frees all the Black Knights while they was about to be executed, after that it will be remplaced by the Shinkirō designed for the personnal use of Zero.
